AACTIVE CONSTITUENTS FROM CHENOPODIUM MURALE

ABSTRACT: One isoprenylated tlavonoid 3,7-Dihydroxy-3'-(2-hydroxy-3-methyl-3-buteny1)-5,6,4"-trimethoxyflavone (I) and one Calkylated flavonoid 3,7,4"-Trihydroxy-3'-(4-hydroxy-3-methylbutyl)-5,6-dimethoxytlavone (2) have been isolated for the first time from Chenopodium lI111rale along with betulin (3) and stigmasterol (4). Their structures and the relative configuration were determined by various spectroscopic methods (IH- and I3C-NMR, IR, UV and MS). Two-dimensional (2D) NMR experiment and the results were compared with the data of literature. The compound (I) showed significant enzymeinhibitory activity against prolyl endopeptidase while compound (2) was active against thrombin.
